We Made It!

We didn't get a chance to write last night but we made it to the UGA campus after a very long day of traveling. It began at 5 am in Athens when we woke the girls up to eat breakfast and load up our car to go get the bus to take us to the Atlanta airport. It was a packed out bus but we were able to fit all our things on there and made it in time. Sean did a great job with the bags and everything came in right under the weight limit. Our flight was a little delayed but the girls enjoyed running around the airport while we waited. They did excellent on the flight and it helped that each seat had its own tv playing shows or movies you could pick. Whitney thought that was pretty incredible. Haley slept for a few minutes on the plane but Whitney held strong not wanting to miss anything. We landed in Costa Rica and headed for customs. The girls were extremely tired by that time and we had basically missed lunch time due to timing of the plane ride. They were loaded up with snacks but little of nutritional value. My heart sunk as I saw the long line and hated to have to put them in that position. As we were getting in line a man motioned us to another line for wheelchairs and we were escorted to the front of the line! Praise God! All of our baggage arrived intact and our bus was waiting on us. All we needed now was food. One of Sean's friends was on another flight that was delayed so we needed to wait on her to drive to UGA. The driver was nice enough to drop those of us there off at a local mall to get something to eat. So our first meal in Costa Rica consisted of Pizza Hut and Subway! Not what I was expecting. The mall was where the girls starting losing it and we began praying they would take naps on the bus ride. We got to quickly check out a toy store and then it was time to take the bus to Monteverde where we would be staying. It was a great ride and took about three hours so not as bad as expected. We were all able to take naps as well as catch incredible views of the mountains. Once we got here we got a great dinner of chicken, rice, beans, and vegetables. Everyone has been so excited to have children here and super nice. We can't wait to see the relationships we form here.
